StuddedSpikes by Djamee™ was founded in 2009 in New York.
The original accessories consisted of bracelets, masks, hats and gloves mounted with steel spikes and Swarovski crystals.
He eventually joined a group of young designers that were showing their collections during Brooklyn fashion week. He also sold his accessories online and at a retail store in the East village.
In 2013 he stopped his production. Too many stores were offering plastic and cheap versions of accessories similar to the StuddedSpikes.
After a hiatus that lasted until 2018 Djamee decided to come back while solving production issues by partnering with manufacturers that implemented automation for the production and distribution of Print On Demand products in June 2019.
Djamee's mother passed away in 2015. She had been the main inspiration for Djamee deciding to focus on Fashion Design. She had encouraged him and actively helped him produce a sold out show in Libreville Gabon as a pioneer designer there.
She acquired TV media, radio as well as securing local tailors
Djamee decided to train his mind to deliver a weekly capsule collection from June 19th, 2019 to honor her memory.
In February 2020 StuddedSpikes by Djamee was accepted less than 48 hours after submitting his application to Merch by Amazon; the most sought-after platform for independent designers in the world.
